Mummy & The Carpenters Remix

Whilst I’m not new to Motherhood (I’m blessed with Pops The Teeny and Boo The Big Girl) I am new to Bloggerhood, and so I thought I’d share my thoughts on why I have joined the blogging community. Since becoming a mum five years ago I have learnt much about myself (some good, some not so). I’ve learnt a lot about Motherhood, a lot about being a woman, what my body is capable of and what my mind is capable of. It’s been a rollercoaster – like I am a bottle of fizzy pop that has been fiercely shaken and I have exploded with a million emotions, I’ve been scared, clueless, strong, I’ve been lost and yet I’ve been found. Muddling through one of lifes biggest changes can be confusing but it’s also been filled with the most wonderful moments of my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Pops and Boo, they both amaze me and oh lord test my patience on a daily basis. They have put me in a new world and stirred something inside me that I want to share. Amongst others who read my blog, one day when they are older I hope they stumble across it, so Pops and Boo here’s to you. Excuse Mummys reference to The Carpenters who you will have no idea about, and to be fair I shouldn’t either as someone born in the 80’s. That is something you will learn about Mummy – Mummy is not cool.

Mummy & The Carpenters Remix – A Song For You

I’ve been so many places in my life and time

I’ve had a lot of joy and I’ve seen some dark times

I’ve never known a love quite like it

All those sleepless nights were worth it

Mummy’s on the Interweb now and I’m writing this blog for you

I fear your image of me is what I don’t want to be

Mummy needs to learn patience but babies can’t you see

There’s no one more important to me

So babies can you please bear with me

Mummy’s on the Interweb now and I’m writing this blog for you

You taught me precious secrets of the truth withholding nothing

You came out the front and I thought I was dying

I love that we are all together, even if my minnie never gets better

So please embrace your childhood, and you’ll find your Mummy smiling

I love you in a place where there’s no space or time

I love you beyond my lifetime because you’re babies of mine

And as you girls get older,  please remember how I love you dearly

Mummy’s on the Interweb now and I’m writing this blog for you

Mummy’s on the Interweb now and is sure to embarrass you
